Artist's Comments
The concept behind this photograph refers to, how current society is taking away the possibility of original thought. We are who we are due to the influence of the society in which we live. We have been, in a sense, brainwashed. Society now controls our thinking, behavior, emotions, and decisions. The person sitting in frount of the television seems not to be struggling to break free of the constraints put in place. He sits there infrount of a blank televison, waiting for it to consume him. It is my hope that this photograph will act as a stimulus to provoke thought on the suppresive nature of some of these mind controlling techniques in society.
